About You
I really enjoyed my insight at Pinsent Masons as it gave me the chance to see what it would be like to work for the firm, and confirmed to me that it is a place I would love to work.
The team that I was sat with treated me as one of their own for the time I was with them, and were all happy to help me.
I was guided through everything I had to do, and felt I could ask for help if needed.
The skills involved in being a trainee solicitor were made clear to me, and will help me as I pursue a career in commercial law.
The Company
The presentations on the various practice areas were at the start of each day and I thought this was a very good idea as it gave the day a structured start and then meant we could spend the rest of the day with our team.
The culture of the firm really came across as being one where people enjoy their work and care about their clients and colleagues.
Pinsent Masons put a lot of time and effort into the Vacation Scheme.
I was able to witness the work of a trainee solicitor which has helped me understand what it would be like to work here.
Spending time within the firm proved to me that they really do live and work by their values.
Everything Else
£250 per week.
We had the chance to chat with a lot of the trainee solicitors and also met one of the partners over lunch.
We were taken on social events each week, which were a great chance to get to know each other and the trainee solicitors. We also had the chance to attend office drinks to meet other members of the firm.
I learnt a lot about the corporate responsibility schemes that the firm has, and about their sports teams.
I think it is a great vacation scheme for anyone looking to pursue a career in commercial law.
