About You
The placement was very structured, ensuring that I wasn't left with no tasks to complete at any point during my two weeks.
The department where I was sat were friendly, open and always up for a chat but also ready to give me advice based on their own experiences.
My trainee buddy was very approachable in terms of me being able to ask questions.
It was helpful to see how alot of my contract law module was put into practice.
The Company
We had presentations for each department throughout the two weeks, in the morning. We were then taken back to our department and usually given the "to-do list" for that day.
Everybody in the department were always open to have a chat, this was also added to by the open plan structure of the office.
We were given IT training and research training during the London induction. I was also able to sit in on a few trainee training sessions.
The department I sat with was going through a very busy period while I was there, this meant I saw how the team operated under pressure.
As the department I was in was very busy while I was there, it let me see how the team operated while under pressure. They seemed to work very well in their team.
Everything Else
I feel as though the payment I was given for my placement was adequate. However, for some people who were having to pay for hotels this may not have been adequate.
There were two socials during the two weeks in which trainees attended. We also took part in office drinks every friday and there was also a lunch with a partner. Although, only one partner attended this lunch.
The social events were great, however it would have been nice to have more contact with partners.
We were not giving any information on this topic in terms of sports. However we were given a talk on some of the corporate responsibility things going on in the firm.l
Yes. I think the placement was extremely helpful.
