The Role
I had a fantastic time during my placement at Savills, I have enjoyed my four weeks so much that I will certainly be applying for the Grad scheme here.
All of my colleagues were extremely friendly and I settled in very quickly to the team.
The graduates assigned to help us were very helpful and supportive. Always happy to help and explain things that maybe weren't so clear at first.
Never too busy or bored, perfect balance.
- Was given an exercise to potentially interested parties to persuade them to attend a show home launch. Really good exercise and was given autonomy to do this.
Compared to when I started my knowledge of Savills, the property industry and residential property has improved dramatically. I have consolidated my existing knowledge and learned a huge amount of new things as well.
The Company
Naturally everybody who works at Savills is very professional and hard working, but at the same time they are all great people who enjoy a good laugh.
The placement was extremely well organised and structured very well. If I could improve it I think that a general talk about the company and its structure in the first week would be extremely helpful. Also introducing us to the myHR portal on the first day would be recommended.

The Culture
Naturally the west end isn't cheap, but there is plenty to do.
