The Role
I got the chance to work on a huge variety of projects and brands with the majority of my work live on sites. Being able to point to something on the Disney site/in an app and say 'I did that!' is brilliant.
The majority of my team and the people I worked with were lovely and very supportive.
If I ever needed help I was never afraid to ask. I feel they were not only supportive on my placement year but will continue to be when I graduate by providing excellent references and contact to people within the industry.
As it was design work fluctuations in workload are expected but I was never too overwhelmed. There was a nice ease into work in the first months.
Once I proved I could do things well then lots of responsibility came my way.
I learnt more on this year than I expect to in my 3 years at uni combined!
The Company
Mickey Mouse came to visit us! Obviously not everyday but fun things happen often.
Had no problems with Disney.
A lot! Disney University offer personal development courses which were difficult to get on due to demand but were very interesting.
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Hopefully when I graduate there'll be a job opening so I can go back!
The Culture
Lots and lots of interns at Disney so always something going on.
London is very expensive! Was completely worth the cost though.
It's London so great just very, very expensive.
So much to do in London I wish I had another year here.
