The Role
It was a very enjoyable experience as i was allowed to choose what teams and what kind of project i want to get involved in. My personal aims and aspirations were considered seriously.
We go out for pub lunches or bike rides at times. Very welcoming team with no discrimination. Old and you dont matter.
It was called "tough love" at the start where i was allowed to drown or swim hard to stay afloat. However, everything was worth it at the end. After the long 3 months struggle, i was given responsibilities like no other. I was allowed to run many projects and make decisions on them.
Very busy, but it is better than the other extreme. Busy and engaging at the same time, thus i dont mind.
Plenty! I have 1 million pounds worth of project on my head.
Everything was great investments. I picked up a lot of soft skills that i would have never picked up from university life. Approaches to problems that are exclusive to the working world.
The Company
My team is fun as we can talk and joke around. Age difference is well disregarded.
Apart from the initial 2 weeks of IT hiccups. everything else was smooth.
Quite limited. It is understandable as I was not a permanent employee yet. Investing too much on me will be a waste of the company's resources.
Rolls-Royce Plc. engineering does not get any better than this.
The Culture
It was all right. A little different as most colleagues already have families of their own.
Derby is cheap!
Almost nothing? But i dont go out anyway.
Some football sessions, bike rides and pub lunches. Not too bad
