The Role
My manager had clearly thought about what I was going to do and had found me challenging and rewarding projects to work on.
The team were very welcoming and helpful.
Any time I needed any help or guidance it was given quickly and clearly.
At times I was very busy, but thats just working in the real world.
I was given a various challenging tasks, for which I had total responsibility.
The experience of working in an engineering environment was on its own very useful. i have also experienced something of practical engineering and project management.
The Company
Its an office not a night club, but everyone that worked there was welcoming.
There were a few initial issues with HR, but nothing massive.
There is a suberb culture of investment at Rolls that is obvious, even summer interns can get involved in training courses if they wish to.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Working from home
The level of investment in staff and value placed on the individual is excellent. The company culture is too, I would love to work here.
The Culture
Interns organised their own events, but were also involved in the Apprentices Association- Paintballing, football, rugby, cricket etc...
Bristol is a little expensive.
