The Role
Gave me a really good over view of how a business is ran. I was able to view all areas of the business and was given many resposibilities.
You spend so much time with your collegues that you find it easy to approach them about anything inside and outside of work.
I had a review with my manager every month to see what my current goals were and to set actions to achieve them. You also get on the job support and guidence.
Each day is different and sometimes it is difficult to balance and prioritise work. Throughout the placement this has helped me with my organisation.
From the start of the placement you are given great responsibility. You took ownership of each customer, given individual corporate accounts to deal with and dealt with all areas of the business.
I feel that when I go back to university it will help me in relating theories to real work experience.
The Company
The atmosphere was upbeat and a good working environment.
The internship was well organised. We had an intern focus group which was good to see how the other interns were getting on. The layout of the placement was very similar to that of the graduate scheme.
Alot of the training was on the job. However a lot of time was spend on developing in the company and this is shown on how much emphasis is placed on promotion.

There is great employment prospects within the organisation for the furture. There are many opportunities to consider including part time work on return to University.
The Culture
Within the branch and the area everyone stayed in contact however with the hours it is difficult to arrange events outside of work.
With the placement being 10 minutes travel from home I was able to stay living at home.
N/A
We had a female focus group where all the girls from the area meet up. We managed to arrange a charity walk where we were all involoved
