About You
Really enjoyable two week vacation scheme, very relaxed firm which helped.
I was genuinely surprised at how approachable the two partners I sat with during my Vacation scheme where. Even though I was there for a short amount of time, I felt the work I had produced was valued.
It was more or less up to the individual to seek out help if they needed it. But when I did need extra support completing a task, supervisors and buddies were happy to make time for you.
As a non-law student, the vacation scheme has been a fantastic insight into the type of work trainees do. I have learnt so much just in to weeks, including a lot of new shipping terminology!
The Company
Fantastic structure. HR are on hand whenever you need them and really do keep track of everything that is going. There's been a perfect balance of talks, social activities and department experience.
Really enjoyed the general atmosphere of the firm. Much more relaxed than many other medium sized law firms.
Good workshops put in place during the vacation scheme to learn new skills.
I left feeling like I had gained a true picture of what it would be like to secure a training contract at Stephenson Harwood
Several talks put on to help you to get to know the firm's culture, and this is generally a good representation of the feel of the office floor.
Everything Else
£260 per week
Encouraged to go along to any lunch time talks where you could network with the wider departments, current trainee drinks, lunch with supervisors.
Relaxed and informal settings. We were taken to All Bar One and Cafe Kick for drinks. Enjoyable events.

Great experience, I would recommend anyone to apply
