About You
A really good experience. I really enjoyed the job shadowing.
I had the opportunity to participate in some of the work, but it wasn't really part of the week.
Was shadowing a director and hence had a contact and guidance throughout.
Not really relevant to improving my skills in relation to my degree, but it definitely gave me an insight into what career path I would like to pursue.
The Company
Ultimately this is dependent on the leader you are shadowing. Luckily I had some opportunities to attend AGMs, talk to other people, attend meetings, etc...
Everyone was really nice and friendly.
In terms of the job that one does, you really get a genuine insight.
Since it was shadowing, it was a good insight. However, one must bear in mind that a leader's day job is vastly different from that of a graduate's, for example.
I was pretty much in the office the whole week so I got to witness the general atmosphere, how they dealt with teamwork and the company ethics.
Everything Else
I was paid a fixed sum on completion of the week.
I had the opportunity to ask other people about their experience and talk to interns and graduates.
I was fortunate to attend a week that had social events (ball) but it is entirely dependent on the week.
I didn't really ask.
Definitely. If you really want a detailed insight into one of the business lines at PwC, then definitely give this a go!
