About You
The Taylor Wessing vac scheme was an excellent experience. Everyone was friendly, supportive and the work i did was relevant and interesting.
I felt highly valued especially as they gave me work that was relevant to real transactions.
Everyone was happy to give me work as well as useful feedback. I was invited to meetings, conference calls as well as quick catch up meetings in the company canteen.
The vac scheme gave me sufficient insight into the practical side of law. It taught me to use my instinctive knowledge as well as the material i had learned at university.
The Company
We were given a detailed programme for our two weeks, training buddies, supervisors and excellent social events. The firm also went a step further by giving us the opportunity to visit their pro bono centre.
The firm's atmosphere was great. Everyone was friendly and so were the other vac scheme students. I've met some really interesting and knowledgable people and i was sad to leave after a very quick two weeks.
The programme was well planned and my supervisors provided me with useful feedback to help me develop my skills during the two weeks.
I was able to speak to a range of employees who gave me advice on their journey through law and what it was like to be a full time lawyer. This was really useful as i was able to gain an insight from more than a trainees perspectives.
The vac scheme threw me into the company's culture as i was given my own office and real pieces of work to do.
Everything Else
There were more than enough opportunities to network with other employees.
The social events were fun and it was a great opportunity to get to know the other vac scheme students.
My supervisor told me about his participation with cricket and football teams. I also spoke to some of the partners who were doing a charity bike ride to Paris.
The vac scheme was a really great way to get to know the company.
