  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a great opportunity to understand the accountancy sector whilst gaining an insight into the team structures and working environment.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My team and managers were very supportive and I benefit a lot from this constant activity and contact.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Management and senior management were reviewing my progress fortnightly and I would have the opportunity to discuss with them any various issues and advice.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The workload was not too stressful and I would be out of the office by 5.30pm at the latest.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was completing work for those who were absent and also individual projects set by my manager throughout the internship.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • These will be life long skills and they can be drawn upon any situations such as working in a team.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The team were very enthusiastic and were fun to be around, going to work wasn't a chore!

  • All the tasks planned I could see took a lot of time and effort by my team and the socialising aspect by HR. Everything was provided.

  • learning information, online teaching, management teaching and guidance.

  • I got a graduate job to start in the future and will definitely take it after this enjoyable experience.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The students were a lot more relaxed and calm compared to other banking internships I have done, a great change of atmosphere.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London is expensive but they provide you salaries and discounted lunches so it wasn't too bad overall.

  • We indulged in loads of different activities which were both educational and just awesome.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • I played 5 a side football with other students weekly which was organised by employees which was great fun
