The Role
It was a very enjoyable placement. I was included in the team the whole time, and had a lot of fun there whilst learning a lot.
The team atmosphere at Golfbreaks is amazing. Everyone pulled together to get problems sorted and I was always given help if I needed it. I think its especially nice to see that the directors made an effort to get to know the student members of staff, even ones which they don't deal with day to day
There was a lot of support given all the way through my placement. Managers would always be reasonable and would always try to help company members proceed with their tasks
There were times when the workload built up and I sometimes did find it hard to keep on top of the work. But this did drive me to being more organised. If I did get too far behind my manager would be very understanding and try to help me prioritise items to get the work done efficiently.
I had a lot of responsibility during the placement, however I was never scared by this because there was always help if I needed it and if at any time I felt like a situation was beyond my comfort, I would be able to go to somone
I learnt so much at Golfbreaks, I feel as though the placement was an amazing experience for knowledge, and am so glad that I had the chance to work there
The Company
There was always a good atmosphere in the office. People were able to make jokes, and socialise, as long as the work got done everyone was happy. There was always claps going through the office when targets were hit, which raised the moral of everyone as they could see that their hard work was paying off
The placement was very well structured, they knew exactly what you they wanted from the student members and they worked hard to get it. The induction weeks were very good because they gave you a wide scope as to what the company does, and how each department helps the overall growth of the company
There was a lot of time invested in me and I was amazed by this. Even in my last few weeks, if I felt like I could gain something from training, they would still offer it to me
