The Role
Intel is an incredible company to work for on your placement year.
Not once did I feel like just an intern. My team are incredible and pushed me to take on any responsibility I wanted.
Weekly 1:1's with Supervisor and Bi-Weekly with Manager.
This varies. At some points I was very busy and at some points not so much.
Huge amounts. In fact, if you want to just coast for a year then this could be an issue. I loved the fact I had real responsibility and was "one of the team".
I learnt more at Intel than I did during my degree.
The Company
Could be a little dull at points. But your team really make this and my team were fantastic!
The Intel Internship has been around longer than most. It's a really great and efficient structure.
You receive a lot of in house training but external accredited training is unlikely.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
I was offered a job and have accepted it.
The Culture
Really good social scene. There is 60+ interns so enough people around to keep you busy!
Swindon is very cheap to live.
Swindon really doesn't offer much.
Some bits and bobs but not many.
