About You
I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would.
I felt very valued and that I was making a contribution to the bigger deals employees were working on.
I have learnt valuable transferable skills such as how to handle work-based relationships and adjust to an office environment.
The Company
Very structured, both in and out of the office
Positive - summer students were treated kindly and fairly by all
Fairly heavily - we had two days of training and were offered further training on the IT systems and legal databases, for example.
I feel like I know what to expect from a full-time role as a trainee solicitor after completing this placement.
It was really helpful, as three weeks in one department means you get a real feel for the culture
Everything Else
£275 a week
Yes, lots, both inside and outside of the office
Really good fun and varied so everyone could find something they would enjoy
fundraising, volunteering, sports
Definitely - it was a candid and great insight into the legal profession
