About You
It was a really enjoyable and interesting insight into how the firm worked, learning about its culture and atmosphere beyond what the website said.
The team I sat with was very welcoming.
The first two days of the insight were dedicated to training about the support systems put in place, meaning that I was able to jump straight into departmental work.
The skills I developed will certainly help me in my career as a solicitor.
The Company
The insight was really well structured, comparable to my friends who were also on insight programs with other City law firms.
There were a lot of social events put on throughout the 3 weeks allowing me to really get to know the others on the scheme.
The firm looked to ensure we were properly equipped for the three weeks.
being able to spend 3 weeks in one department meant I was able to fully immerse myself and therefore gain a thorough understanding of what a full-time role at the firm would be like.
The length of the scheme meant I was able to gain a valuable insight into the firm's culture.
Everything Else
We were paid for our 3 weeks.
There were lots of social events put on for us, meaning there was ample opportunity to meet other employees.
The social events were really well organised.
We were given talks about the opportunities into volunteering etc. by employees.
I would definitely recommend this vacation scheme to anyone looking to gain an insight into how a law firm works day in, day out.
