The Role
I enjoyed many experiences during my placement including some of the work and projects, meeting different people and visiting different sites .
Colleagues were very friendly and inclusive and definitely made me feel valued.
Manager was very supportive and offered structured guidance whenever needed.
I was kept busy most of the time, with some periods being more busy than others because of demand but overall it was a manageable balance.
Was given a fairly good level of responsibility.
Very valuable skills gained including communication, presentation skills, time management, Excel and others.
The Company
General atmosphere was very dynamic, with one hour being very quiet and stable and another being very busy, vibrant and loud.
Placement could do with a bit more structure such as specific mini-rotations in different departments.
A decent amount of training was offered
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare/Dental
There are a number of appealing graduate schemes for future employment.
The Culture
Social scene was fairly limited.
Fairly low cost of living.
Fairly small city.
A decent amount of opportunities to take part in out-of-work activities.
