About You
The work was challenging, interesting and thought provoking.
Some were extremely busy, but most worked with open doors and were more than willing to offer advice and answer questions.
Again, some more than others but most gave good description of context and explanation of the task.
I have learnt so much. About my self, about the law, about the life of a lawyer, about life in a law firm... It has been a huge learning experience.
The Company
I was amazed at the number of resources used and the programme was a brilliant way to meet fellow vacation scheme students from different departments. Breakfast briefings were great, not just for the food (!), but to hear about other aspects of the firm.
The office was a really comfortable and enjoyable place to work, and learn.
Mid-placement meetings were a great way to iron out concerns I had and answer questions. It also gave me confidence to kick-on during the second half of the scheme.
I have met so many lawyers and each of them were willing to answer questions. I felt they were honest in their answers which was really refreshing and helpful.
I had expected good things from its reputation, and was not disappointed.
Everything Else
It was more than adequately paid.
It was great to have different environments to network and meet other employees - from the Pub Quiz to the Partner dinner.
The variety of events and variety of employees who attended was really great to see and made them really useful as well as good fun!
We heard a lot about the voluntary events but less from sports teams/other social activities.
Fantastically organised, and I have learnt so much. It is definitely the most impressive and most rewarding scheme I have done.
