  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Very enjoyable, really nice people and a good working environment

  • Very, always supportive, when I have called in sick I have received texts saying I hope I am better.

  • Help is always there when I need it, even with personal and educational matters.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some days were very busy, but some were not, this was mainly due to quiet times of the year and waiting for big orders to come in.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Yes I was, I did not feel I was treated any differently as a student and was in talk with all levels of the management, including the managing director which was good.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I feel like I understand how a company works, and have seen all aspects of a company working, as my placement was at a relatively small company.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Lots of good ' banter' but also a high degree of professionalism, which makes work very enjoyable.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • There were 2 other students at work and the company has been doing student placements for years, so they were very good and well organised with the whole set up.

  • Invested a lot of time in me, but not money as such.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • At the company not very appealing itself, however there are good relations with another company, BAE systems which are a good prospect for me in the future now.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • 2 other students, we looked out for each other which was a big plus point.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Portsmouth is a great place to live for a student and is not too expensive.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Well none at my placement area but I live in Portsmouth and the nightlife is great, lots of choice everyday of the week.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There has been crew bowling and christmas parties which were good.
