The Role
Very enjoyable, really nice people and a good working environment
Very, always supportive, when I have called in sick I have received texts saying I hope I am better.
Help is always there when I need it, even with personal and educational matters.
Some days were very busy, but some were not, this was mainly due to quiet times of the year and waiting for big orders to come in.
Yes I was, I did not feel I was treated any differently as a student and was in talk with all levels of the management, including the managing director which was good.
I feel like I understand how a company works, and have seen all aspects of a company working, as my placement was at a relatively small company.
The Company
Lots of good ' banter' but also a high degree of professionalism, which makes work very enjoyable.
There were 2 other students at work and the company has been doing student placements for years, so they were very good and well organised with the whole set up.
Invested a lot of time in me, but not money as such.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
At the company not very appealing itself, however there are good relations with another company, BAE systems which are a good prospect for me in the future now.
The Culture
2 other students, we looked out for each other which was a big plus point.
Portsmouth is a great place to live for a student and is not too expensive.
Well none at my placement area but I live in Portsmouth and the nightlife is great, lots of choice everyday of the week.
There has been crew bowling and christmas parties which were good.
