The Role
A hugely enjoyable year - far exceeding my expectations.
Feel very valued & empowered.
Support given whenever needed & without the overshadowing that is sometimes associated.
Lots of involvement in different projects and tasks.
Grew over the year to a point where I was comfortable managing a number of projects (Great for my CV & Career development)
Brings context to University studies. But, more importantly, gives great insight into the industry, the job role and workplace etiquette - I now have a good idea as to where I want to be in the future.
The Company
Welcoming, professional and friendly
A very well established Industrial Placement Year.
Countless opportunities to have training on a wide ranging topics - whether that be Health and Safety or Excel - providing me with a transferrable skill set I can take forward.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Many Industrial Placement students have returned & developed within the company.
The Culture
The fact there are 16 placement students nicely bridges the gap between University & 'real work'. However, this doesn't limit the opportunity to grow as a professional & experience new things.
Reading, Berkshire - affordable given the placement year is paid.
Lots of bars & clubs in Reading - situated a 20 minute drive from Panasonic House
Representatives organised charity events all year round & a Placement bar crawl takes place multiple times each year involving many placement organisations in the area
