About You
Interesting work, good firm, great social events.
Everyone was really friendly. Even partners were happy to make time for you if you wanted to go for a chat. I was always given interesting work and was given the context behind what I was doing, which helped me understand the work of the trainees better.
You were independent but there was always someone who could help you out if needed. The emphasis was on you to source work at times.
I developed many soft skills which are useful in a variety of contexts. Degree wise I learned the importance of attention to detail, which will be useful in university work.
The Company
Superbly organised. Lots of great social events. Each week's day activities (visiting the law courts, training centres etc) built on the experiences of the week before.
You really felt part of the firm for the three weeks.
Lots of great opportunities for learning.
There were many events where we got to speak with current trainees.
People were open and honest so I learned a lot about the firm.
Everything Else
London is expensive, fortunately we were paid.
Lots of opportunities, there was even the opportunity to go to the firm's summer party.
Great social events throughout. By the last week the interns all got on so well we were organising our own informal socials.
Many of the staff have interesting hobbies outside of work.
I fantastic experience.
