The Role
I really enjoyed the placement, particular going on site to clients.
Immediately felt part of the team, impressed with how much effort others made to get me involved with everything.
When I was doing work for someone, they were always available for questions; but I still felt I was maintaining my independence.
I was kept very busy, which I was pleased about.
I felt an appropriate balance was reached, gaining responsibility without being given work I couldn't handle.
I learnt a lot of new skills on the placement, many of which I hope will be useful this year and in the future.
The Company
Very friendly atmosphere, I attended a few social events.
Very well organised, as shown by the amount of time I spent out at clients and how much work was arranged for me to do.
I was able to do some work shadowing in another department, as well as with a partner and business development manager.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
I have accepted the offer of a job with KPMG for when I have finished university.
The Culture
Quite different from that experienced in London but good nonetheless.
The placement was in my local area, with living costs and socialising costs kept low.
It is very similar to my experiences of socialising at home.
I was pleased with other, non-work aspects that were available to me during my placement.
