The Role
Over enjoy the placement year.
I felt valued by my colleagues, the work that i was carrying out impact the product design.
The mentoring and the guidance i received was superb that improved the way i approach problems and will definitely make an impact on my future career.
The work is very balanced there are definitely busier and more relaxed days but that’s expected.
During my placement i was valued as an HP staff so the responsibility was the same as the rest of the team.
My skills developed massively that will help me through my 3rd Year at Uni.
The Company
The atmosphere at the office is amazing.
The work placement experience is guided through feedback that you provide to your mentor.
The company paid for my training in hardware verification. Also the bough any tools that i needed to carry out certain tasks.

There is a graduate scheme available and your placement performance gives you an advantage on getting a Job. You can also co-operate with HP for master projects etc.
The Culture
There is a good social scene with fellow placement students a colleagues. Plenty of fun at team lunches etc.
The cost of living is relatively cheap you can find a place to stay near work for around £350, the canteen prices are reasonable.
Bristol City nightlife.
There are many events in the city of Bristol (hot air balloon festival, chocolate festival, city sightseeing etc.)
