About You
I found it very enjoyable, the week was varied and fun.
The supervisors set you real work to do therefore, you feel as if you are genuinely contributing to the firm.
You get a lot of guidence as you work alonside one supervisor and one trainee. Moreover, you meet most of the trainees in the course of the week.
The experience was invaluable as no where else can you can real first hand experience and in additon, it gives an opporutnity to ask the many questions you have about training contracts and law itself.
The Company
The insight was very well structured with a set time table and schedule throughout the week.
The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly and everyone seemed willing to help and listen to any questions.
They invested time and effort into educating us as to what were their individual aims and what they look for in a trainee.
I felt that the trainee talks particualrly allowed us an insight into what being an employee at Walker Morris would be like, as they shared with us their day to day duties and hours.
It became quickly apparent that the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly with perhaps busier departments being less so.
Everything Else
The content completely helped reaffirm my aspirations towards a career in law and completely inspired me.
Within the department you have been assigned there is opportunities to network and ask questions and a great many opportunities to talk to trainees of other departments.
There was a social evening on the wednesday which was fun and also a drinks evening on the last night.
Employees at the firm seemed to be on friendly terms, the trainees particularly seemed to have close friendships and meet often.
The insight was fantastic, would recommend to anyone.
