    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I found my placement year thoroughly enjoyable. I was given real responsibility in my role from day one and this has grown since then. I have yet to come across anyone in the company who hasn't offered to help and I have been lucky in that I have been placed with a great team.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I have felt extremely valued in my role.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My manager has always given me guidance should I need it. From the simple questions related to my role to where I and how I should progress my career.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Mostly busy. There has been plenty of opportunities to try something new, outside of my role.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • The more I have settled in to my role and felt comfortable in what I am doing the more responsibility I have been given. What I have found particularly great about this placement is that, although you jump straight in to the deep end, your managers make sure they only give you want you are comfortable with. I set up the first IBM integrated account social media strategy.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
