About You
Very interesting, gave an insight into a lot of different areas within the company
Everyone seemed interested to talk to us and were very helpful
Gained an insight into the oilfield industry, which was something completely new for some of us. Questions were always welcome and the employees were very willing to help us out.
I have increased my knowledge of the oilfield industry. We also took part in a group challenge where teamwork and critical thinking were essential, and gave a presentation to some managers at the end, which was a very valuable experience in developing public speaking skills.
The Company
The two days were very busy, and there was always something to do, but nothing felt too rushed. We were given timetables so knew what the plans for each day were.
Everyone was very friendly and seemed eager to get as much out of the placement as possible.
The variety of activities which we took part in made it feel like they had put a lot of effort into the experience.
Lots of different roles were discussed, and the different paths you can take within the company. We got to meet lots of people who were able to tell us about their different experiences and answer any of out questions.
A lot, as we got to meet lots of different people, not just HR/recruiting
Everything Else
Accommodation and food was paid for for the duration of the event, and travel to and from the event was reimbursed.
There was a mini 'roadshow' where employees came from lots of the centres to tell us about what they do.
We got taken out for dinner both nights with members of the company
I didn't really have time to find out much about this
It was very interesting, and opened my eyes to working in an industry I hadn't really considered before.
