    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It really was a great experience. I enjoyed every moment of it, learned a lot and also made a lot of friends. I have made many connections which will surely help me in this job area in the future.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I definitely felt valued by my colleagues. At no point did I feel like I was not part of the team. My manager and everyone in my time made me feel at ease every day.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The support and guidance given by my manager and my other colleagues in the team was second to none. They were always there to help me and answered any questions I had, whether that was about the business, or something like where to go for lunch.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I wasn't too busy to begin with but then the work started to ramp up. Near the end of the internship I felt that the balance was really good, and I wouldn't mind that kind of workload if I was to work there full time.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a fair amount of responsibility near the end of the internship. It was understandable that this amount of responsibility increased from the start since I was only new. It was good getting a feel for the business and being in charge of a few things.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I have learned during this internship were definitely skills for life. I will definitely use the skills, in particular organisation and communication in the rest of my studies at university and also in my professional career. It was definitely worthwhile.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere was OK on the whole. I felt good working there on a daily basis and it certainly wasn't too strict. My team were sitting very close so I felt that I could chat to them very easily.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It was very well organised and set up. It prepared all the interns for what was happening and we were never left wondering what events were coming up, for example.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • It was good to see that the company offered a lot of training. The company really wants the interns to build up their skills and by offering training that you can complete in your own time it is very convenient. My manager encouraged me to do the training.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I got offered a graduate job! I can't wait to start working here again.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I got to know a lot of the other interns at the start of the internship and we kept in contact throughout. We regularly went out for drinks and lunch and I really met a good group of people.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The cost of living was high as expected, since this was London. However, it is not too high that it is unmanageable. I found it more and more easy as the internship went on.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The nightlife was great and I had many fun nights. I spent them with the other interns and they seemed to enjoy the nightlife too so it is definitely recommended.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • The company organises some events for the interns outside of work which is good and also we organised some events on our own as well. It was good to network with others and I built up a fairly good professional network throughout the internship
