The Role
Was able to tailor the job in respect of being able to spend more time developing aspects that were more interesting and worthwhile to the student.
Built good relationships with the team as a whole throughout the business and accompanied sales members in 'extra-curricular' visits.
Management were often busy and out of the office as there was a lot of re structuring going on but over all there was sufficient guidence.
This was varied depending on the time of year, during trade shows it could be non-stop from 8-7 but on other days normally a steady 9-5.
Responsibility grew with ownership. If you proved competant in various roles you could own a whole project.
Greater time management and responsibility and awareness of effort put in= acheivement.
The Company
Friendly relaxed atmoshere in an opened planned office. Lots of young people and a vibrant social scene after work.
Good relationships between the university and the company ensured that each stage of the selection process was clearly communicated and fair. Initail assessment was undertaken at the university to reduce time spent away ect.
There were a few offical sessions at the beginning and further training could be organised if needed or relevant to your department.
Flexi Time

Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I have secured a job in a department I wanted to work in.
The Culture
Lots of the students lived near by the office and the number of us made sure there was something organised at least twice a week. Pub, clubbing, pub quiz, ice skating, cinema ect.
Fairly cheap in immediate area but not much of a range. London is not too far but the train takes and hour.
One club in the next town but not very lively. Reading is twenty mins away and always a good night out.
There was always lots organised and the company had lots of sports teams from 5 a side to untlimate frisbee.
