The Role
People are amazing and really helpful. The internship is a real representation of your first year as a graduate and you get exposure to various clients of the firm. Lots of social events.
Everyone was really helpful and gave feedback. I was invited to the social events and felt that I could ask anyone for support, no matter the grade.
A really good support system. Everyone is assigned a buddy and a people manager. Also, you can ask anyone for advice and help.
I was reasonably busy as a new joiner of the firm. Not too much work as you need technical knowledge as well but during the less busy periods I got to work shadow lots of people which was great.
You are given the same responsibility as a graduate. I sometimes spoke directly to clients, but the written work is definitely reviewed by a senior colleague as it is very important. You still get to write it though and see your mistakes.
My time in PwC was really important for my career development as I understood that that is what I want to do and I like this particular firm.
The Company
Even though people were busy, they were chatting and having fun as well. There was a break out area and a hot desk policy which allows you to sit near different colleagues on different days. Very social.
Very structured, assigned work and exposure to clients.
They paid a very good salary, paid expenses and team lunches/ social events. Also there was a paid for 3 day residential training.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I got an offer at PwC and I accepted it.
The Culture
We went to lunch together every day and now keep in contact through social media.
I lived in my uni accommodation so it was cheap for me.
Not many student during the summer but otherwise OK.
Yes, there were social and sports events after work.
