The Role
I had great fun learning about myself, and how I worked with others. The Tesco facilitators were great, and easy to talk to as were those running the course.
There was a real sense of equality.
Supervisors at Tesco are good at communicating ideas and skills to new people, they don’t spoon feed me (which I think is good) but at the same time they make sure I get enough guidance to complete the task.
There was a lot going on, but also enough time to take a break; we were busy but never over loaded.
There were some great opportunities to take the lead, but again, never so much pressure that it was overwhelming.
What I learnt about myself over the internship will stay with me for life and help me develop my financial skills into the future.
The Company
The whole experience was well organised so that there wasn't really a dull moment, the 'teaching' sections were interactive, so even the times that some might find less engaging became exciting.
There wasn't really a moment where I felt like people didn't know what was going on, and the timetable for the course made everything run brilliantly.
They invested huge amounts of time and resources into me as an individual, I am really happy with the progress I have made.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
I have kept my fingers crossed and hoping for something good to come up after the completion of this internship.
The Culture
Everyone got on really well, and the company put a lot of time and effort into helping us all gel. There are students from different countries , so I enjoy being in a multi-cultural group.
As long as you know how to manage your salary, all activities can be affordable.
The group on the course would tend to spend evenings together, and we all had a great time since there are lots of pubs you go out for a drink.
There are many sports clubs and networks.
