The Role
This placement was very enjoyable, it was a lovely environment to work in and a great range of interesting tasks
Everyone was very welcoming, so much so that I managed to get a university sponsorship from them.
There were times when I wasn't entirely sure of how to complete certain tasks but there was always someone to help me.
Fairly busy days, still time for coffee and tea breaks.
The placement deals with highly secure and secret information, so a lot of trust was developed.
TE placement was completely in my field.
The Company
There is a range of people working, at different levels and ages so there is always someone to chat with and have a laugh with.
The first day took a bit of setting up, ie emails and things but once that was done it was great.
I already had a lot of background knowledge so didn't need too much extra training.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
I actually did manage to get onto a graduate scheme, 3 years early too!!
The Culture
There was a range of age group there, I made friends with a group of other interns and graduates, we had regular social events.
Being a university town it is cheaper than normal, but it still cost more to get around to places as I don't have a car.
I loved the nightlife in Reading, can't fault it.
There were many sports groups at the company and a lot of traveling trips, climbing, swimming, shooting, etc.
