The Role
The staff at Enterprise are all very welcoming and are a pleasure to work with as everyone starts off in your position so they know what you position you are in. The hours are long and it can be hard work but it does pay off and you can progress quickly.
Couldn't ask for better colleagues!
If there was anything I needed I could approach management with ease and ask questions if there was anything I was unsure of or extra training. Management also sit down with you on a monthly basis to go over any training and they complete regular reviews.
You are given a lot of responsibility at Enterprise as the placement scheme is the same as the graduate scheme. This level of responsibility only serves to enhance your skills though.
My planning and organising skills, my ability to make on the spot decisions and use my initiative, my leadership and management skills are all things that have largely improved throughout my placement. These will all help me when I go back to university. The long hours have improved my work ethic too!
The Company
Although we were always busy the atmosphere in the branch never suffered.
The training file that you are expected to complete is very well set up and ensures that you are constantly learning new skills and gaining an insight into parts of the business that you wouldn't otherwise experience.
I was treated like any other staff member and not an intern. I was part of the team and given a lot of responsibility and trust.
Company Parties/Events
There are great opportunities within Enterprise for progression after your placement. If you do well, most are asked come back after graduation or as part-time throughout your degree. You can also quickly progress within Enterprise if you are willing to work hard!
The Culture
Most branches go out on monthly branch meals. As an area, there are area nights out every few months and of course the staff christmas party which this year was at the Hilton hotel in Manchester!
I lived at home throughout my placement.
Sometimes there were emails sent around about fun runs or midnight walks for charity but other than that not much.
