About You
The placement provided a useful insight into how the firm operates and the 2 weeks went by extremely quickly.
I was given actual work to do and work I completed was sent on to clients in response to their queries.
I had a trainee buddy who helped every day and regular contact with my supervising associate. I also met Partners and other trainees from the firm regularly throughout the 2 weeks.
I have already completed my degree but the placement has provided useful information about the profession and how I would like to shape my career in the future.
The Company
The placement was extremely well organised with timetables sent in advance, and everyone knew where they needed to be and when.
There have been lots of social events to get involved in.
I was provided with all of the information/training needed to complete the jobs I was asked to do.
We received presentations from each of the practice areas to see a wider view of the firm and the trainees were happy to answer any questions about practical aspects of the training contract - e.g. choices of seats, opportunities for secondments etc.
We had lots of opportunities to ask questions about the culture and the social events were indicative.
Everything Else
Paid and reimbursed for expenses.
Lots of opportunities - social events, CR talks and office drinks on each of the Fridays.
Lots of people to talk to.
My trainee buddy told me about lots of opportunities and the firm's intranet showed lots of events.
