The Role
This was my first major job, initially i found the job quite challenging but as time went on I got the jist of the job which made it very enjoyable.
My Senior Campaign Manager gave me an opportunity to work on his campaign and recognised my ability. He was very pleased with my effort and work as I used to achieve weekly appointments (the account managers to have a meeting with the buyers). Due to this my manager named me one of the top achivers of his campaign.
My placement mentors constanltly provided support. Initially when I joined Astute Ltd I was considered a poor performer but due to constant coaching that helped me to turn around the situation and became one of the best performers of Astute. Due to this I was given an award for the improved employee of the month in Feb 2008.
It was normal working hours from 9:00 to 5:30, but the work involved us to be constanly on the phone to key decision makers of a company. In that regards it was quite busy.
At one point the team performance was low, I was given respobility to achieve extra appointments in order to boost the team statistics up. As a top achiever my main aim was to keep the statistics of the team high.
The skills that I have leanrnt helped me to improve my communication skills and at the same time because I have been working with a team, my team work skills have improved in order to deal with them and how to avoid a conflict.
The Company
The office envoironment varied, some campaigns would have a strict manager and the agents would make sure that they do not upset him. Where as some campaign managers would be friendly in order to make the agents feel comfortable. I had the best campaign as our campaign manager would come up with incentives to increase the motivation of the team.
The set up was very organised, I was introduced to the campaign then was shown around the building. Then trained about the campaign.
The company did invest a lot for me because i was going to be there for a year, and due to the fact that i was a poor performer and constant training was given to me as I had to improve.

This would depend on the individual if he would like to work in aa legal envoironment. If this is the case the employee would enjoy the work envoironment. Personally I would like to move on and use the skills and use it for another area such as Public relations or sales.
The Culture
The company would constantly arrange social activities for the employees in the company such as Treasure Hunts, quiz, summer party in the park and Christmas party in a grand hotel.
Cost of living abroad was quite high however my salary made up for that.
The night life was amazing as I was surrounded by Clubs because I enjoy good music and due to the fact it was surrounded by students which made it easier to relate to other people.
There were many activities that took place put of work, such as basketball competitions.
