The Role
Not relevant to my course, but colleagues strived to help my develop an interest
Colleagues made an effort to help me integrate and make me feel values
My superiors communicated with me regularly and also assigned me a mentor to help my development
Initially had little or nothing to do, the work load did eventually pick however
I was given a project which was of value to the company and allowed to be responsible for it
The data analysis and communication skills I received may not be particularly relevant to my degree but will stand me in good stead for future life
The Company
The atmosphere could vary wildly form one day to the next, however it was mostly good fun
The distribution of interns in placements which were irrelevant to their field of study was huge. And little details like providing at end of the first month rather than second as the company are dealing with notoriously broke students would make a huge difference
There were plenty of opportunities to attend training courses
The opportunities to return for further employment are fantastic
The Culture
This was assisted by all interns living in one place making for a good social scene
Everything is of a fair price
Plenty of student bars and a cinema complex nearby
There were a few opportunities
