The Role
Challenging but rewarding work that kept you motivated and interested.
Very valued. Co workers helped to improve my skills and understanding of the job and pushed me to pursue tasks on my own.
Brilliantly friendly and willing to help at any point. Left to independent work but guidance was always there if it was needed.
Kept fairly busy at most points. Some lulls where not much happened due to process chains and waiting on decisions.
Given a large amount of responsibility and were trusted to produce your own work.
Given an understanding of how my course is used in real life situations and given the skills to enhance business behaviours and working relationships.
The Company
Friendly and lively staff who were motivated about their job.
Tours and introductions were formally set up and new tasks were delegated when other tasks were completed and as they came up so you could work at your own pace.
Gave me all the necessary learning to perform the day to day tasks of the job role and guidance into the best way to approach new and difficult tasks.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
With managerial approval another summer placement is guaranteed and hopefully a place on the Graduate Scheme pending a mini-assessment.
The Culture
There were good social engagements within the department however there were few students whom I worked with.
Expensive area to live without a long commute. Shops and pubs were reasonably priced however
Leamington and Birmingham have a fantastic night life with loads of pubs/clubs/restaurants
The employee learning scheme supported a whole range of different experiences/activities that were either partially or fully subsidised by the company.
