The Role
It was good fun, but don't be put off at the start, when things are a little dull/repetitive
Some people are a little quiet but most are up for a chat, but it really depends on the department.
My supervisor (not manager) was incredibly helpful and would happily answer any questions I had.
There was always a lot of work to do, initially it's slightly boring but as you get into the internship, you get busier and won't be too bored
A lot of my work was used for actual applications
Mainly based on CAD so was helpful to my degree, but not overly beneficial, but working in a team and the planning was helpful
The Company
Some people were really chatty and had several tea/coffee breaks, was a nice atmosphere
They knew exactly what needs to be done by me and took me through it step by step, which was really good because you knew exactly what was expected and when.
A lot of assistant and guidance was provided and they really wanted to make sure I got what I wanted out of the internship.
They seem to really encourage graduates to join, but I am unsure of my prospects
The Culture
Living at home meant there was very little if any interaction with other interns
I lived at home, so that wasn't really an issue. But socialising is not too expensive, there's cinemas, bowling, bars and plenty of places to eat in Leamington and Coventry
Nightlife in leamington and coventry is okay, but Birmingham is the better place to go.
Lots of sports clubs
