Pensions Advisory Intern Review

Had lots of opportunities in terms of work and responsibility given on my 3 week placement, with valuable exposure to senior people in the firm, such as partners and directors. Work was varied, and felt like I was contributing to the team.

From fellow interns right up to partner, everyone was friendly and always willing to help out. I was recognised for the work I had done and the people in my team/department would take the time to get to know you.

I was assigned a buddy, who is on the graduate programme, as well as a counsellor. If I had any problems I could speak to them, and was given guidance in terms of feedback.

Depended on the project, but usually fairly busy in the office. Some days were much busier due to deadlines, however I found that I was given more work after completing several tasks to a good standard. It was good to be challenged during my placement.

I was given a reasonable amount of responsibility for an intern - and also during one project within a smaller team I had the opportunity to contribute more.

Developed my networking skills and really was able to learn a lot in my time here at EY. Will definitely be putting those to use in my future endeavors.

I would be on a different desk each day which gave me the chance to introduce myself to more people on my floor. People are always happy to take time out to have a coffee and a chat if you ask.

Very well organised, we were assigned to a project each week, rotating around different parts of the Advisory Performance Improvement practice. Socials were organised to get to know everyone else on the scholarship programme as well as a useful induction prior to starting.

Really valuable opportunity for us and I don't think many other firms/companies invest as much as they do for students as they do here at EY. Training was very good and an eye opening experience

I received a job offer, the organisation is very friendly with good communication and prospects for promotion.

Socials organised, and end of placement celebration dinner. All the interns lived together in student accommodation so plenty of chances to hang out in the evenings after work and during weekends.

Working and living in London, pretty much dependent on where you go and how often. Prices reasonable. Our accommodation was provided by EY.

Easy to get to places by tube/bus/taxi, convenient living in London.

Events organised, activities with other scholars. Also plenty of clubs and networks at EY.
