The Role
Very interesting work without horrible hours and with good people around me.
Everyone was very friendly and happy to pass me on small tasks to complete alongside my main projects. Everyone showed great interest in my projects.
I was sat right next to my line manager who, like the rest of my tea, was always available to answer questions and guide me through my project.
Most of the time I had plenty to do - towards the end though it felt like I was running out of work.
My work felt genuinely valued and important to financial stability. My conclusions were acted upon after I left.
We were given presentation training and my Excel skills improved massively!
The Company
Everyone was very friendly and we often had team drinks at lunchtime.
Slotted right into my placement. Met my Line Manager a couple of weeks before I started which made everything easier.
Given presentation training outlook training for free.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Some departments also offer the opportunity to have a sponsored Masters degree.
The Culture
Weekly drinks and almost daily lunch get-togethers.
Not horribly expensive by London's standards - but still quite pricey. Though most bars and pubs had a happy hour!
Plenty of places to go if you can afford it!
Plenty of societies and clubs, not to mention the Private Sports Club we had access to!
