The Role
Great experience at the company. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I would recommend it to anyone interested in Tax and Finance in general. I learned so much and got to put the things I learned at uni into real use which was really good.
My colleagues in my team were really helpful and welcoming. I definitely felt valued by them and got to know some of them pretty well during the internship.
I got all the support I needed from my team. They were surprisingly helpful and I found that they were always there to answer any questions that I had.
I found it very manageable. The balance was not perfect but it was not too bad so I felt that I had a bit of free time every day which is always good. It does depend on the team, but, with some teams having more work than others, naturally.
I was given part of a project to work on from the very start and I made some important decisions there. I was always part of something 'real' and it was really good to get a feel for working in that sort of environment.
The training I received was great and it helped me hone my skills. I have developed greatly and I will use these skills in the future, whether that is in study or work, for sure.
The Company
Great working atmosphere. The atmosphere really makes you want to get work done! Everyone was easily approachable and the office was open plan. It was quite relaxed which made working and getting help from others very easy.
It was really well organised. We had frequent communication from the internship team and they gave us plenty of notice about things like events.
The personal training was great. I feel that company invests in its employees quite a lot. I learned a lot from this and the meetings with my manager helped my development too which was great.
I have a conditional graduate offer! It was definitely a great experience and I look forward to spending more time here.
The Culture
Yes, the social scene was great. I got on well with the other interns at the office and met some really great people. We went out to lunch often and had a bit of fun after work going to clubs, bars etc.
Costed quite a lot, although it was manageable for me. I did have to budget carefully though so do not forget to sit down and work tings out.
The nightlife was great. I went out with the other interns and it was great fun. Lots of different places to go and really enjoyable!
Great amount of opportunities to get involved outside of work. There are clubs you can join and also the interns had events organised so that was good to get to go out and get to know people a bit better.
