The Role
The work was very diverse, making the 6 weeks incredibly enjoyable
I got to work with different teams every week so got to meet a lot of new people. Everyone was so friendly and made me feel like a valuable member of the team.
In-charges were always very helpful and always ready to give guidance
I was kept very busy, there were very few days that I wasn't on site.
I as given more responsibility that I first thought I would be given, which was great! Towards the end of the placement I was given more and more responsibility as I acquired new accounting skills
I gained skills that I will not only take with me to uni but will continue to use when I return to Grant Thornton as a graduate
The Company
Every team I was in was fun, team morale was always great.
My placement was extremely well organised, I knew from the first week what I would be doing and where I was going for the remainder of the placement.
The company invested in me, training was readily available on every job.
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Great! I'm returning as a graduate next year.
The Culture
I was always invited to social events by other colleagues.
The cost of living was not really a problem for me as I already had accommodation in the area.
There are so many bars/clubs/restaurants open every night
I was invited to all the work events that were happening during my placement
