The Role
I very much enjoyed the internship, everything was very well organised allowed me wide variety of experiences that I believe will help me in the future.
Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. No question was a stupid question!
We planned time with our people manager and on the whole stayed in contact throughout my time there. It was extremely useful to be given clear feedback for the previous weeks.
In general there was the perfect balance, always work to be done but no heavy pressure to complete work as long as it was to a good standard. When work would run dry it was very easy to pick up extra by asking around so you never found yourself with nothing to do!
I was given a good level of responsibility from the very start. Being trusted with speaking to clients independently was a great learning curve and I believe this has allowed me to develop massively in many different areas.
My skills I have developed will definitely help me in my future studies and beyond. The presentation course at Bradenham, GT's training facility was a great way to meet other interns from across the country helped build my confidence for presentations which will help me way into the future.
The Company
Everyone was very friendly and happy to have a chat including the partners! Many people are often out on audits so there was always different faces going about the office but if anything this added to the open, relaxed but professional atmosphere.
On the very first day each intern received a timetable of what they would be working on each day such as which client, when they would be going to Bradenham etc. So the whole internship was very well organised throughout.
We had three introductory days and every member of the firm would take time out to clearly explain many aspects to you. We also spent two nights on a presentation skills course.

The Culture
Always something happening and going on so plenty to get involved with.
Pretty cheap.
Plenty of choice for going out.
Often different events being emailed around that everyone was invited to.
