About You
Was very interesting and learnt a lot about the Bank although it was more listening to lots of information rather than actually doing anything
Was only a single day so hard to tell but didn't feel shunned nor completely valued as an individual, more valued as part of the group.
Everything was led and the day was very structured to ensure we knew what to do at all times.
Didn't really gain any new skills, learnt a little bit about application and interview technique but not really any life skills, although the information given was helpful so certainly not a waste of time.
The Company
Very well structured and the structure was set out at the beginning although this did change slightly throughout the day due to over/ under running. The only real problem with the structure was a "networking lunch" which involved two employees to speak to for the 50+ people attending the day and the "networking drinks" which although had slightly more people to network there were still not enough.
Really good atmosphere, was very fun and useful to meet other people trying to do the same kind of thing as you, although at times the presentations did become a little boring and there was a lot of information to take in at once.
Fair amount, had a member of the HR department with us for the entire day who was telling us how to make a better application.
Quite well, the panel questions session with current people from the graduate programme enabled us to ask questions about their day to day role.
Really useful for this by speaking to the staff and listening to the information given and perks of working for the bank.
Everything Else
Have been promised a reimbursement but am yet to submit my expenses, so when I do hopefully this will happen! The maximum amount allowed for travel was capped at £35 however.
Reasonable but could have been more staff with more time to give, I felt the employees at the networking session had probably only been asked to attend shortly before the insight day.
Opportunities to chat at drinks breaks, lunch and at the drinks afterwards.
Lots of sports teams and social groups within the bank.
Yes I would but it did have a substantial application form considering it was only a single day.
