The Role
I really enjoyed my work placement. Great exposure and everyone is just so nice.
Very much so. From day one I was asked to give my opinion and asked to contribute in team meetings.
My manager always had time for a chat, or to talk through things.
I had day to day work to do as well as a long term project.
I was given real responsibility to calculate the PnL for a a specific desk. I essentially was given work to do that an Analyst would do.
The one week training was intense, but fantastic explosure to a variety of products. I was given a project to help me improve my VBA and excel skills whilst still doing something that is of value to the team.
The Company
Everyone is relaxed, uts a friendly environment and the team always organised drinks
It was really well organized, you have a week's training, followed by a primary and secondary rotation.
They were really good at providing access to a variety of learning materials.
Subsidised Canteen
I think it is a great place to work, people are approachable, and you are not lost in the crowd.
The Culture
There are only 9 interns, so given the size of the class, we were able to develop excellent relationships with each other. We go out together, and try to have lunch together often.
Its London, so socialising can be made as cheap or as expensive as your taste takes you.
Amber is across the road, and we tend to get drinks outside after work on fridays.
I participated in Dragon Boat racing and the JP morgan corporate challange! It was a lot of fun.
