About You
Highly enjoyable, the vacation scheme allowed for an all-access insight into the workings of Nabarro. The scheme was very inclusive and allowed me to not only witness the work being done by the lawyers here, but also get stuck into assignments and contribute to the work undertaken by my department.
I felt very valued throughout. The team drew upon my previous experience and were appreciative of the work I was doing.
The level of support available was fantastic. I could always rely on my supervisor and those I was completing work for. The Graduate Recruitment team made themselves constantly available, and were a great help.
I believe I have developed some great skills whilst at Nabarro. From drafting legal documents, presenting, to networking. The scheme was designed to educate us, and for me, it has done exactly that.
The Company
The vacation scheme was very well organised. From day one I knew what I will doing on the afternoon of my final day. There was a great balance between departmental work, seminars and briefing sessions, and sociable activities. The result was a well-balanced and enjoyable insight into the work of a city law firm.
It was immediately clear that this firm has with it a friendly atmosphere. Everyone I met has been very welcoming, and I feel like I got to know those I was working with on a personal level as well as a professional one.
They invested a lot. I had many one-to-one sessions with the lawyers I worked with, and plenty of briefing sessions. The breakfast seminars were particularly helpful in demonstrating the work done outside of the department I was sitting with.
I worked with several trainees whilst at firm. All of which helped me understand what it would be like should I be offered a training contract.
Within days it was apparent that this a close-knit firm.
Everything Else
There were many opportunities, mostly through social events, but also through departmental drinks. A session on networking was provided which was also attended by prospective surveyors from two very well respected firms.
They were excellent, relaxed and very well organised.
Yes, from cricket matches to sing-offs.
Without a doubt.
