The Role
Despite being challenging, I was given training and encouraged to ask many questions which helped me familiarise myself with the work and made the internship very rewarding
All colleagues were very friendly and happy to help when I was unsure about something. It was a very comfortable environment to work in.
Instructions on how to complete our work were very clear and any difficulties easily addressed if required. Check ups were a nice way to see how we were doing and ask if we needed anything else.
At times I had little work to do but the Project we had over the duration of the 6 weeks fills the time, normally there was plenty of work needing done!
From the start of the internship I had real work for clients and the work I completed was of genuine value to the company and my colleagues.
I have gained invaluable knowledge about work in a financial environment and learnt many skills and techniques to play an efficient part in such a workplace.
The Company
The atmosphere was never strained, the office was busy but calm nobody has ever been in a mood.
The internship set up was very well executed and easy to handle, instructions were given well in advance and with high clarity.
The company took time to acquaint me with colleagues, fellow interns and the work that I would be set. They also provide provisions for travel and accomodation.
Travel loan
I feel there is a strong likelihood that I could work with the company in the future
The Culture
As we have a small office there are only 2 interns so social events for us aren't common however we all go out for lunch on Fridays which has been a good away to get to know our colleagues.
I had to commute to work by train which was quite costly but was subsidised by the company.
The nightlife in the area is good
As I commuted I didn't get involved in many activities outside of work.
