    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a great, well structured program - always keeping busy and felt very welcomed.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone was really welcoming and explained every task I was given. They always made sure there'd be someone around to answer my questions on anything. Some came out for drinks with us interns outside of working hours, so it was great to get to know them on a less formal basis!

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The management were great, organised lots of 'catch-up' meetings to see how things were going, as well as a weekly meeting with this years new grads to talk about our work capacity for the week.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There were few days where there was little client work to do, however we had plenty of project work to be working on so there was never a moment with nothing to do.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • We got to work on client work - everything gets checked many times so there wasn't too much pressure. Although we were also at the end where we checked others' work, so it good to experience both sides.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • It was a great experience and would definitely recommend TW to anyone who asks - the training program at the beginning was really helpful, and I definitely think this internship has improved my confidence. I do maths so this type of role definitely relates to my degree!

    3/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone was really friendly and I felt included from the beginning. It seems like everyone gets on well so there was always some chatter in the office.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • I felt I was very well informed from the moment I accepted the offer till the day I started. There was a structured training program for the first few weeks, and then mid-way 'catch-up' deadlines before final deadlines for the projects at the end of the 6 weeks, which helped us to keep on task.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • It seems like the company invests a lot of time in you - with many training sessions at the start and also the continued guidance through the rest of the internship.

    5/5

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would hope to work back here in the future - I've heard last year 5/6 interns did get a grad job so fingers crossed!

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We were welcomed with an Intern BBQ for the whole department and members of staff regularly came with us to the local pub which was great. There were also other social events, including cricket, rounders etc. and one which us Interns had to organise ourselves!

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It is an expensive area to live in but TW contribute to the cost.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • A small selection of pubs which are open till late, and one club in Reigate which is a definitely worth a visit! London is close-by though so a huge selection there.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There are weekly 5-a-side football matches, of mixed ability and gender, and seems to be a different sporting activity most weeks I have been here.
