  • It has given me direction into what career I want to pursue.

  • Any problems or questions I needed solving I never hesitate to ask, no matter how small the problem is.

  • At times it can be quiet, but there is always plenty to do to help so I will never find myself bored.

  • Given my own work that needs to be done, with individual projects to complete. However there is always support if I find myself struggling with some parts.

  • Adapting what I have been taught in lectures/seminars and relating them to real life business situations.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Great atmosphere, can have a laugh with other employees, but everyone is serious when it comes to work.

  • Had problems with logging into the system and software at first, however this was solved within a couple of hours.

  • Regular training, including lean six sigma, which can be used through my working career.

  • Doing all I can to gain a full time job with the company, this includes working late if something need to be completed.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Regular weekend nights out are organised with the interns.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The business is situated just outside of cardiff, meaning that the surrounding area is cheap to rent a shared house. £2 a pint in local pubs.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Pubs and clubs situated 10 minute walk from where I live, and regular trains into Cardiff with a fantastic nightlife.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Football/rugby teams training every week. The company also invests into volunteering for employees to help the local community.
