About You
From assessment day to final interview, the placement had everything I wanted and more.
My department at the firm were incredibly welcoming and immediately respected me as a member of their team - not like a student.
Throughout the entire scheme I was given advice on completing tasks and assistance when things didn't go to plan. All the information I needed was just a question away.
Having a professional perspective to assist my studies will definitely help me understand the law from a broader perspective - it's not all just books and exams!
The Company
Perfectly structured. The only negative would be that I was moved from room to room on a number of occasions. On the plus side, this did enable me to get to know lots of different people.
My time in the office and the social events in the evening made the experience very fun. Nabarro are very good at letting you relax after a hard day at work - just the way it should be!
The three weeks was packed full of opportunities to express my ability, meaning that Nabarro made a real effort to let me grow as a professional and person.
My workload was very heavy and I made sure to volunteer for every opportunity out there. This was a good thing, as it enabled me to get an idea of what life as a trainee would be like.
Nabarro is very close-knit - I don't think there's another firm like it.
Everything Else
Very adequate - potentially slightly on the low side for those finding alternative accommodation (I stayed in a rented flat).
Almost every day. This enabled me to meet people from all around the firm and also get closer to my fellow vacation schemers.
Fantastic. A wide range of activities participated in my all members of the firm, regardless of seniority.
I was presented to on Nabarro in the Community and a variety of additional services that Nabarro provide, namely giving employees one day per year to give back to the community.
100%.
