  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • Overall the work done in the office and the opportunity to conduct site work was a highlight

    • I was asked for my views on projects and after starting project work my opinion was valued.

    • I was given inductions, instruction and oversight by my manager making sure I learn and fully understand a task.

    • The office was quiet for the first few weeks but got busier towards the end.

    • Some of the work I was doing was confidential so it involved a lot of responsibility.

    • The safety training, technical knowledge and advice will all help in my future studies

    • An older office but the inter office activities proved fun!

    • The placement had all my materials and equipment ready for my arrival, so it was well set up

    • The company is hiring heavily, so prospects are high.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • The students and colleagues get on really well and attend various events throughout the year

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • The cost was pretty low although was higher than normal due to the Commonwealth Games.

    • The night lift is varied and extensive: lots of pubs and clubs!

    • They organise trips and different social activities outside of work.
