The Role
I liked the variation in work each day/week and I enjoyed learning how to use different types of software.
Everyone is so friendly and made me feel very welcome, inviting me out for work lunches and to meeting with them.
They were great, giving me advice on university work, my dissertation, placements etc
It varied by day but I mostly always had work to do.
I was given reports and drawings to do that were sent to clients, I was in direct contact with other companies, emailing them and ringing them.
I learnt to use a lot of software that will be very useful in my degree, it has made me more competent in using the ones we have learnt to use in university
The Company
Everyone gets on well together, it is quite quiet at the minute though because there have been a few redundancies made recently.
I have stuff to be doing everyday from different people so work was well organised. Contacting colleagues before I started was easy.
They have sponsored me in a scholarship with the ICE, this is a great investment from them, helping me develop by giving me placements and helping me thought the year
Company Parties/Events
It would be a great company to work for in the future. The other staff are all friendly, with this scholarship I hope to get a job with them when i graduate.
The Culture
I don't really spend anytime with other students in work.
I live here all the time so I'm just used to it, it just depends where you go to shop etc.
There are a lot of pubs and clubs in the area so very good.
I live here all year so I just carry on the normal activities like the gym and dancing
